And you conveyed that so well :o)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13026498562923542987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5338015056894587362.post-50223336163190417182011-04-27T17:06:02.938-04:002011-04-27T17:06:02.938-04:00This post made me think - (I read Lauren's too...This post made me think - (I read Lauren's too and yes, one can tell she is young though growing wiser all the time) - I believe that some people come into our lives for a reason, some for a very short time, to make a difference. These people are our friends and though we might never see them again, they remain with us in spirit our whole lives. I have had friends like this. My close friends are those I may not see often but with whom I know I can pick up where we left off at any time. These friendships were struck up 'on first sight' as you say. My sisters are also my best friends. I have one friend, apart from my family, I could call at 3 in the morning and who would call me should she need to.
What a thought provoking post CJ, Thank you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5338015056894587362.post-14601086496826750272011-04-27T16:00:36.788-04:002011-04-27T16:00:36.788-04:00I love your writing and have been enjoying for a w...I love your writing and have been enjoying for a while - silently in the background. This piece takes me to so many places and times in my past. But I suppose, for me, the greatest friendship is the one I have formed with the gal with whom I used to share the room and bunk bed and parents. My dear sister, Katie, whose blog you follow (and she follows yours) is our link. Thank you for the kind words on my website. And thank you for following my modest little blog. I am not the writer my sister is, but I enjoy sharing my thoughts about life here in Scotland.Martha Gates-Mawsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13968343759908672318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5338015056894587362.post-44823012571545466012011-04-25T11:10:57.808-04:002011-04-25T11:10:57.808-04:00This post makes me want to stop everything I am do...This post makes me want to stop everything I am doing and think about all my friends and what makes some friendships feel stronger than others... I love the instant bonding thing -- what you call "falling into friend." It's remarkable when it happens.Katie Gateshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01264642384901419402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5338015056894587362.post-62497023547142079442011-04-21T21:54:23.904-04:002011-04-21T21:54:23.904-04:00I used to have a social network that was very viab...I used to have a social network that was very viable. Most everyone moved to other places, a few were destroyed by betrayal and bullshit,
and the few that I have left, we all get each other. If I say, I have to work in my studio, no one gets pissed. If they do, they don't stay around very long.
I'm just comfortable in my life where it is now.KeLLy aNNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10444403703566259999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5338015056894587362.post-13873584278131819352011-04-21T14:35:31.317-04:002011-04-21T14:35:31.317-04:00I have many friends I really enjoy, but there are...I have many friends I really enjoy, but there are only a few that are what you call here "real" friends...the ones you call in the night, etc.

Such friends are priceless.

But my very best friends are my siblings.

=)Susan Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16049586085703324088noreply@blogger.com
